satirical little book for adults
Brought this to a book-themed white elephant and it was a hit! It's straightforward and has cute little illustrations throughout. It's published as a child's nonfiction book but some of the examples are not relatable for children (i.e., sexting and online dating tips). This book should be geared towards those who are in their mid 20s + and just need a quick laugh from juvenile humor.

Not just for young men!
I bought this book for my husband because when he gets stressed, he acts like such a dick and many times I get triggered when his behavior turns childish. SO, I decided to buy him this book and hold on to it and give it to him when he starts the unwanted behaviors in the hopes that it would diffuse an argument. Well it worked like a charm, I simply walked away from him as he was getting really worked up and came back with the book and gently set it on the counter. He looked at it and started laughing and that ended what would have turned into an argument! BUT, he took it with him on a fishing trip with his buddies and came back and said they all got a good laugh but were all surprised at the good advice inside! 😳 Didn’t see that coming!! WINNER!!

Got this for my kiddo
I haven't read the book but I got it for my son so he doesn't end up acting like his father. Any book with this title must be good.... he started reading and said it's actually pretty good. Who knew?!

I was Frustrated w My Son When I bought This, but Was So Happy when I Read It!!😜😜
This little book is so great! I bought it for my 12yr old because I was frustrated w his behavior lol. When it got here, I flipped through the entirety of it (because I didn’t want to give it to him w/o checking it out 1st) 👍. It’s actually full of really GREAT & pertinent info about life & how to act! It’s “How To Not Be A Dick!” 🤣🤣🤣🤣It’s pretty straightforward,& written in a humorous way that makes them want to read it. I’d def recommend it for all those pre-teens/teens out there..just as a guide ! It’ll make life easier! 🤗🤗🤗

Reinforces Good Behavior In A Fun Way
Really a good book for underlining for all of us, even those of us who should know better, what behavior is tolerated and not in polite society. Since I can be a thoughtless dick at times, I need all the reminders I can get...As a 51 year old, I loved the Dick & Jane-style artwork since I learned to read with the "Dick & Jane" and "Tip and Mitten" books 45 years ago. Little lessons are taught in humorous ways without being condescending and I thought the continued references to cheese logs were a nice touch.

Mom of the year!
Because I’m the mother of the year (ha!)... I put this in my 14 year old son’s Easter basket. He laughed so hard... everyone thought it was hilarious. The next day... he informed me that he’d been reading it at school. I shuddered and thought “omg, I can’t believe he took it to school... I’ll be getting a phone call soon.” He said his teachers thought it was hilarious and laughed even harder when he told them his mom got it for him. I’m just shocked he actually read a book... on purpose. Winning.

Disappointing
Aimed at a low level or kids, which I then question appropriateness of term

Bought this for my cousin who used to be a dick. She’s less of a dick now, but unsure if that’s due to the book 🤔
