Easy install, great product.
I used these on my Sun Tracker Fishin Barge trailer. It's funny, one of the product images is my exact trailer. My trailer is a 2016 and the wood had rotted already. I live in NM and bought it used out of Kansas where it's more humid. I am not a fan of carpet, though I know it has been used for years (my grandfather did upholstery for a living, so I helped him with a lot of boats growing up). I was pointed in the direction of this product and decided to go with it. My only complaint, why didn't I think of this!I was able to change all of my outside bunk boards at home. I just had to change the two long runners at the lake (pictured) with the boat off the trailer. I know most people will have to do this at the lake. In one of the pictures the bunk is dirty. It is not wear and tear on the wrap. It's dry and dusty where I live. This was actually the first time I had the boat off the trailer since I installed the new wood and wrap. For the installation I changed a few things from the OEM setup. The OEM setup came with lag bolts. I kept losing them on the highway due to the deteriorated wood. I decided to use countersunk carriage bolts this time. Hillman makes an anti-turn washer that I used to keep the carriage bolt from turning. I bought these local hardware store. I couldn't find them here. The same with the bolts. I also used treated lumber from a major retailer. I was told that the chemicals used in treated wood today do not etch aluminum anymore. That's a bonus, but even with these wraps drying so fast and not keeping the wood soaked like carpet, I shouldn't have that problem anyways.I used a drill bit to drill the holes for the 3/8 carriage bolts to go through. After that, I used a 1 1/8 spade bit to make the "recessed" hole for my washer and carriage bolt. You do not want the head of the bolt rubbing your boat bottom. I am adding pictures to help. Once the bolts were installed, follow the directions included for attaching the bunk wrap. My only regret is probably using the galvanized bolts/lock washers/nuts. I probably should have used stainless steel. However, that shouldn't be too hard to change out in the future, as the wraps just unscrew. I hope this helps.

not enough screws
product seems good so far. definitely not enough screws when you follow the instructions. for what this cost it seems like they could send a few extra even. you need to unroll this well in advance of installing, 24 hours worked great for me.

Need more screws
The product is well-made and the instructions are easy to follow. I got the 2”x6”x16’ kit. The screws are stainless star/torx-head type. I followed the instructions and came up two screws short. My bunk boards are only 7’ long so if I had 8’ boards I would have been six screws short. Also, I was not aware of the included bit to install the screws until I got to the fourth or fifth one. I’m going to get more screws from a local hardware store and install them on 6” intervals to “compliment” the included ones that are on 12” intervals. Add more screws or at least include enough to do a complete installation.

It’s great stuff but hard to work with
First thing I did was coat my 2x4 bunks with fiberglass resin. After they dry I sprayed them with black krylon paint. Then I filled a 5gal bucket with scalding hot water and dropped in the bunk wrap roll.I took it out after a few minutes an stretched it out with weights on it so it would lay flat. Now you can work with it. Throw them straps in the kit away. I used long zip strips to hold the wrap in position. I put extra stainless screws in also. Doing it this way was far easier than the instructions.

Great product - Install tips
This is the second time buying this product. I bought this product to replace two out of my four trailer bunks last year for my boat. First wanted to see if I liked them before buying for the other two as these aren’t cheap compared to carpet. Well I liked them enough to replace the other two this year. They simply don’t hold water therefore my thought is I’ll probably never have to replace them again for this boat.Tips. Put your roll of Caliber material in the sun until it’s warm. This will enable you to unfold and wrap the bunks easier. In addition get yourself a brick or heavy rock to hold the material in place while you put the end caps on. If you elect not to do these things you’ll be frustrated dancing around a roll of Caliber material. Good luck and happy boating.

Bunk Wrap
Bunk wrap is an upgrade to our pontoon boat trailer. Followed directions and installed extra screws to insure it is secure. Boat even launches and retrieves easier.

Works well with my boat
I like the product once it is installed. It works well with my Baja loading and unloading from the trailer. It is difficult to work with as it comes coiled up and is VERY difficult to keep straight and stop from curling up again while trying to attach it to the bunk boards. Have a helper and lots of clamps handy.

Installs easily and works well
Excellent installation instructions enabled installation in about 1hr 20min. Tip... lay the cover out in the sun for 19-15 min before installing to take the roll out, so that the cover lies flat. This product worked very well for facilitating the launch and recovery of our 15' aluminum fishing boat.
