Padarsey Replacement Internal Right & Left Speaker L & R Speakers Set Compatible for MacBook Pro 13" A1278 (Early 2011, Late 2011 & Mid 2012)

The right speaker and subwoofer is pretty easy to replace, but the left speaker requires removal of the logic board. If you are not comfortable with ribbon cables, I would not recommend as there are many that are very fragile and tiny. Audio cables pull off from the top. The iSight camera slides out, I used a small flathead to assist, do not pull on it. Take your time, watch a YouTube tutorial, if you are confident, overall it's not too difficult. Speakers seem to be decent quality however my right side speakers got stuck together in the shipping packaging and there is some rubbery gunk in my subwoofer which scares me because that is what broke on my OE speakers. I was able to pull it apart and reseat the insulation but the gunk remains on the subwoofer speaker cone because I didn't want to mess with it. In the end it all works. One note is that the speaker wires are noticeably thinner than the OE speakers. Not unexpected for cheap parts but something to note. Also, the screwdrivers I received with the kit were awful. Smaller drive than they should have been and not as pictured. I used my own as the drive was too small for the logic board and fan screws.

As far a an apple device installation goes, these are pretty easy to install. You'll have to review the installation on Youtube a few times. It's a little difficult around the right speaker, because of short wire length on the part of Apple, and you have to remove the microphone from it's adhesive base, but there's no replacement adhesive to put it back. Even the instructions I found on YouTube omitted the part about putting the mic back.

First i bought one of this speaker replacement for my Macbook pro 13 (Late 2011) to replace the busted one. It took me one and half hour to work it cause some of this connections (Wirings ) are not easy to remove mostly like me without any experience about electronics. I have to be patient when working on it.Sounds : For both speakers are not really good compare to the original one. For me it pair enough . It also not loud like the other reviewer said and its true.For me this speaker is a life save for me im 54 and had a hearing problem already.I have no choice to replace the busted . And also i just replaced my daughter laptop (Same model) yesterday 11-10-21. Just a little advise if you wana do this be patient when you working on it...

I replaced the right speaker on my Late 2011 MBP 13" laptop. It sounds 100 times better than the old one. Unfortunately, I popped the connector off the motherboard and paid $60 to repair it. Thanks Roytech of Brooklyn, NY. After that, I left the left speaker intact. There are 10 times more connections to loosen to access the left speaker than the right one.

Ok, so I installed these last night in my late 2011 Mac Book Pro and they are working great.Mine came inside a plastic bag inside a small carton box. Both speakers came with adhesive on them to place them in their original position and ensure proper fitting.I'd say they are as loud as the original ones and they look exactly the same as the originals, the only difference is that the wires are a little bit longer, so you will have to see where can you tuck the excess wire. I didn't have much difficulty doing that.You can follow ifixit's tutorials on how to replace the speakers and there are also many videos on youtube on how to do it, you just need to buy a T6 Torx Screwdriver and a Phillips 00 Screwdriver.

There are two issues with this where they could have done better. First the cable is a bit longer than the original - at least in the 2012 - so you will have to fold it over itself into the crevices of the laptop. Second issue is a major one, the connector doesn't seat well in the jack on the motherboard. When I first installed it, i got no startup chime and the subwoofer didn't work but the left speaker did. Well some troubleshooting with the cover off (don't try this at home) and it turns out the connector doesn't make good contact with the motherboard unless you push on it. I swapped back the original speaker and it worked fine so it is the cable on the new speaker that is the problem. I transferred over the piece of foam that was glued to the original connector and have it in a place now where it makes contact and seems to work but only time will tell. If it fails again in the 30 days I will exchange it.

Excellent choice for replacing your MacBook pro speakers! They fit and sound amazing. If you follow a how to video, it's fairly simple to do. I accidentally pushed in one of the speakers and the right sides a little muffled, my fault, so definitely do that! But highly recommend.

The speakers are just the right size and fit perfectly. They even come with pre-installed adhesive tapes, which make them easy to install. However, there is a significant issue with the connector for the right speaker and subwoofer combo. It's not an exact match to the OEM one and can be very difficult to plug in completely. At one point, I even considered using hot glue for a more permanent solution. Additionally, the wires are a little too long, which makes it complicated to route them in the chassis. However, I was ultimately able to sort everything out. The speakers have decent sound quality - the sound is good and the volume is more than sufficient.
