My book came without the Booklet, it offers so I am returning it. I really don't understand why this book didn't come with a plastic protection to prevent the booklet getting lost. It's definitely a beautiful book, it's well explained, it has pictures you can appreciate how beautifully the designs will show up. I just hope next time i buy it arrives complete.This time the book arrived with the small book, and guess what. It includes a lot of patterns it's amazing

Wonderful book charting out traditional motifs in Norwegian color-stranded knitting. This slim volume clearly documents 50 or so designs you can incorporate into your fiber work. Originally written almost a hundred years ago, it stands on its own today. I first learned of the original book while visiting in Norway, and was thrilled to discover that a reprint has been released. Happily the modern day forward and introduction are great. Not only is there beauty, clarity, and inspiration—there is depth as well.

Amazing photographs plus directions and charts to knit beautiful sweaters and mittens.So glad I bought this book. It will be great to knit articles from this book.

These are great to read and understand the place in history for the Norwegian Fair Isle. The patterns are still very useable today, but I find the history in this book most interesting.

I have wanted a copy of this book for ages, so I was happy when it showed up available. The seller’s grading was spot-on: very good condition, especially since it’s 57 years old. Many happy hat and mitten designs lie ahead for me.

Anyone who loves Norwegian sweater designs will love this book. It also includes sweaters for men and children as well as socks and mittens. As a avid knitter, I am very excited to add this book to my collection!

This book has a large range of patterns for adults and to my surprise children as well, with a variety of classic designs for sweaters and mittens. The classic designs for children were very sweet, very faithful to the traditional designs and patterns. It is very difficult finding an English language book of Scandinavian designs, this is a really good library addition for a collector. The mitten pattern selection makes the whole book a major contribution for knitters.

This is a beautiful book and I have looked through it many times. I love the deigns.

Beautiful book with lovely anecdotes and patterns.

I loved looking through the patterns and seeing my childhood. I was overjoyed and very surprised to find my favorite sweater. I feel like I am sitting with Bestomoder as I knit!
