Great for organization and storage. Maybe some small, light books or magazines.

I needed a bookcase and I guess you get what you pay for. Don’t get me wrong it’s great for storage (as you can see with a few of my arts and crafts and my towels) but I’m still weary of the sturdiness of the racks for some of my books. It does say how much it can hold (completely my fault on that part) but I saw how people were able to put like cleaning products and jars on the racks. I did put the heavier books at the bottom. I just fear after a while the racks will bend and sag. All in all great for storage and organization. Just maybe not for books...or at least those that don’t weigh as much as a small country...You do have to force some of the panels in the clips so they can snap in and align with each other. That was a great frustration! I did use the mallet. Although not much. My hands hurt after awhile but I was able to put it all together within an hour or so. The welds and panels over all were well done and put together. Some clips snapped better than others and the instructions are easy to follow. I did get some extra clips and an extra panel. That extra panel I used for my sunglasses. I was going to use electrical tape to make it sturdy but if you manage to snap all the panels in it is VERY sturdy...at least mine is. I do like that they added shelf liners.

2 Old Coots = 1:45

For starters it took a 79 & an 81 one hour & 45 minutes to completely assemble the 16 section cube unit. Clover weren't needed. An assembler & his assistant followed the very brief but simple directions. All components plus two extra brackets were included. All were in good shape. Each of the 56 wire sections needed to make a DOUBLE click sound, indicating they were attached correctly. The 81 year old managed to snap all the brackets securely. Note: After the base was completed, the center 3 sectional pieces should be mated, leaving the outer components for the last as one moves upwards from the base. Think & observe as you move up, and you will find mating 3 points of a bracket is harder than those with only two points. I found that a full size pair of pliers & a narrow piece of heavy paper, fabric, leather, etc., worked great for snapping each completed step. After the entire unit looked to be finished, I gently but firmly hit every bracket 2 to 3 times, while the unit was down on a solid surface. That means rotating it on all 4 sides, back, & front. Why do this? Because as one assembles, some of the brackets tend to secretively become partly loose.

Made a flimsy litter box shelving unit! I hope it holds up!

The good: 1.) Packed nicely 2.) NOT in used condition, definitely new 3.) Instructions in EnglishThe Bad: 1.) not enough connectors for other configurations even when you don’t use six whole panels 2.) the shelf sheets are very thin (not usable for my purposes) 3.) the wooden mallet is split at the head and it’s a joke! You can’t get any power behind it! Just brace the piece against the floor and push...The UGLY: This thing is super thin. The metal grid on the shelf just breaks free of its attachment to the frame on each panel with a small amount of pressure. It’s super cheap. Now, I’m using it for litter boxes. The box that will go on the bottom shelf has a lid and the shelf above will brace against it to hold a second litter box. It’s going to sit flat against a wall with a cat door through it into the garage. That’s why the non-traditional configuration. This was the best option. Trust me. I just hope it has staying power because I suck with power tools.

Great overall, a couple points of interest…

They work great as book shelving. I have them fully loaded with books and they hold up well. I’ve noticed a little dipping due to the weight but not enough to be a concern. I’ve moved a couple of times since owning them and like that you can customize them to fit an area. My only potential concern is the plastic corner pieces. I noticed, after taking them apart and re assembling multiple times, that these plastic pieces seem to be wearing out a bit. To mitigate the potential problem, I just zip tied them. Also, make sure you fully clip the plastic pieces because it’s easy to not notice one being less than fully inserted. Overall, I’d definitely recommend these!

Great!

Needed extra storage for kitchen appliances. I wish there was a different connecter for the front corners, it looks weird with the big circle ones only attached to two. It is sturdy and looks nice.

Take your time assembling!

Okay... the best way to assemble is box by box. Trust me! I did the while bottom layer first, then the backs and sides of that layer.... I should have done a full box, then the box next to it, and so on. This way may have guaranteed not having to go back constantly to check to make sure the tiles stayed in the connector pieces (several came out).I had these as a kid and my connector pieces were metal... much more secure. It comes with zip ties... yes, you will need these for the back pieces to make sure they don't come apart easily. The tiles can hold a small amount of weight before starting to bow, but for electronics (game systems, dvd), toy boxes, clothes, etc it'll work just fine.Value for money I would say is only middle of the road... could be better for the same value but I also knew what I was buying.

Good Storage Choice!

The overall assembly of this stage rack is easy. However, you have to make sure that you push each individual square-fence-thing to the last notch so that your alignment is good and adding cubes won't be hard. It took me maybe 20-30 minutes to finish making. As other reviews have said this is pretty customizable and you can do whatever you want with it. 3x3, 3-3-2, 4-5 etc. Each cube comes with a black plastic thing to put on the bottom so that clothes can't catch on the holes and each cube holds a considerable amount of clothes too. There weren't any defects with any of the pieces that came in my package either.I will update in a couple of months or when I happen to move.Update: May of 2022 now. The cubes are still holding up great and all cubes are always full of clothing. Nothing has broken by accident or due to weight either!

Well, it's heavy and looks nice

I will say, it was generally easy to put together, but there were some challenges in properly securing (fully) the metal "panels" into the connectors.....all the way, that is. Using the mini hammer (which oddly, was stated as being "wood" on the instructions, but is actually plastic) became problematic; although generally helpful in slowly-but-surely securing it fully in the last place of the connector, I cracked 2 plastic connectors in trying. PRO TIP: Save the hammering for the middle connectors at the back when putting in the sides to the back, and not just on the ends, or just doing one panel. Also, one of the seams of the metal panels also busted in using the force required to attempt to push them into the back of the connector.I was impressed at the overall heft of the item, and I do think it'll be alright. I love the look, the functionality, and that this particular model came with the clear sheets to lay over some of the surfaces for greater versatility of use. I like that it actually came with mini zip-ties in the colour that I ordered. I also love the size of this item. Though it cost the same, I spotted the "Amazon Basics" brand first.....the reason I kept looking was, though it sounds good that it's bigger, it was going to be too big for what I needed, and actually bought this system because it was "just the right size" for the space I needed. It's inside a closet, and I have plans for the other half, so I didn't want something too foreboding.I'm not so sure that this system can actually support 10 lbs of weight, as claimed. I made sure to put the grid panels with the welded seams UP so make sure that any weight being bared would not pop the welding......the instructions were extremely non-distinct, but it really isn't "rocket-science" to figure out how it should be.......but the detail as to how the manufacturer technically recommends putting the panels was not specified. Yes, I really do normally consider these things.....Though I don't have any practical experience with other systems of this nature, I would say I would probably recommend this item. I'm definitely satisfied with the look and so far the functionality. I'm just nervous it will break easily if the kids try to lean weight on it and whatnot, and those connectors are definitely fairly delicate, so be careful with the hammering (which you will likely need on some of them to make sure they connect all the way to the back of the connector).

Extremely useful and versatile

I decided to buy this "storage solution" because I had recently gone through a long distance moving, and I experienced the pain of moving with big furniture. I thought that if I bought this, it would be easier to move in the future, since it could be packed really small when needed.I have been using it for months now, and it is very sturdy and it fits all my needs. I love that you can decide how to configure it, so I was able to split it in two units, and optimize the space I had available.Another thing I personally love about it, is that because of its grid shape, I can hang things to it very easily. With another furniture I would have to make holes and screw hooks, or use some sort of adhesive. Here I can simply hook things, use laundry pegs to hang random bits I want to easily access, etc.

like the concept of the product

Although i like the concept but some clips were missing resulting in not able to put the shelves as desired. instead of 34 connecters there were only 28 connecters to build 9x4 cubes. overall it is a good product.

Exactly as described

This was exactly what I needed.I use this on top of my desk and not the floor therefore I did not use the 'legs' as intended. I have the legs placed on the top so it is sitting closer to the desk.Very sturdy. Easy to assemble.

Easy to assemble and quiet sturdy

easy to assemble and no tools required. Quiet sturdy but not sure how stable it would be freestanding. Ours Fitted into an enclave so that added extra support. The plastic Mats supplied are a bit pointless as they come out every time something is pulled out
